This is really not that unusual for an officer from a different MOS to command a unit with another MOS. There’s a lot more in that division than just infantry soldiers.

She seems qualified to me. Why does this have to be an issue? If a man had the same qualifications, would it be?

The best C/O I ever had was a black female.

because a bunch of armchair generals that never served are telling everyone how things work. Just like President Bonespurs thinks he knows more than all the generals even though he was too much of a pussy to serve.

However, it is important to mention, all of these joined between 2002-2007.

That would’ve been nice to know beforehand.

As close friends, about 20. All but one served on active duty. However, it is important to mention, all of these joined between 2002-2007.

I suspect they're lying.

Nah, they're not. I've been to both Iraq and Afghanistan, I can spot a BS deployment story.

Because women don’t belong in the military, they don’t belong in any combat arms, and they damn sure don’t belong commanding an infantry platoon, much less an infantry division, period.

did you serve in the military? if not, i'm not sure your opinion should matter very much

It's my understanding their budget is through the Dept. of the Navy... so Kia. The Chargers and Mustangs are for Fighter Pilots and SEALS

No, I’m pretty sure it was only Army units in the Philippines, I know that there were Marines under his command that were captured at Bataan though. But MacArthur wasn’t over the entire Pacific Theater.
