We have a BAM near us that my 5 year old likes to visit so I've been a few times. You buy and sell legos. I'm at a loss for how the company could steal Legos from someone.
40+ year old virgins buy up all new and old sets, keep them in the box, never assemble them, and prop up a market made of other 40 year old virgins
They literally will open boxes to steal the lego men and then sell them. I got my son a little Star Wars set and someone had opened it up and stole the clone troopers from it
It’s the same deal with hot wheels, gi joes, comic book action figures
Meanwhile I’m just trying to buy my son a lame Star Wars set and they’re nowhere to be found because the previously mentioned virgins went to every Walmart and Target and bought every set because they have clone troopers or a yoda or mango fett

image being an incel and reading this. Could be inspirational but more likely a knife to the gut that this lego collector managed to get laid.

so I get this and understand what you're saying. But I still don't understand what the above has to do with BAM stealing $200K of Legos from an individual?

I don’t think it’s about the money at this point. This cover-up has now run so deep it may expose some things the police don’t want exposed. I’m kind of concerned for Ben’s safety.

It’s pretty clear if you had a few minutes to watch the YouTube links or even read a few posts ITT

Family brought sets to BAM to be sold.
Signs contract where the stuff is consigned instead of sold outright.
Some of the stuff moved on consignment but a significant portion was left when the franchisee sold to a new franchisee. At that point, it appears the new franchisee ended up with the remaining collection without paying for them, probably assuming they were owned by prior franchisee.

That’s the initial part
Then it gets deeper with the owners of the Lego store and local cops and also Mormons
It’s gonna be a good documentary

it's so simple, brazen, and obvously criminal as presented that it almost makes me think there HAS to be more to it than that
NO successful business is that stupid.

If the new owners mistakenly took ownership of gear that was supposed to be on consignment, it's an easy fix. Return the gear. They didn't. Pay for it outright. They didn't. By corporate digging in their heels, this story gets super weird, and reeks of corruption.
I don't care about the Lego aspect of it. Not my tempo. But the corruption/civil liberties aspect of it is insane. Trying to follow Utah law and serve someone with lawsuit papers wound up getting someone arrested. Wtf.

In the chief of police presser video, Ben said the owners threatened to murder him. He also teased that part 3 will be worse than part 2.

regardless of anything, the American Fork PD is corrupt as hell. pt2 clearly shows that the warrant was false, the arrest of his friend was false, etc. Plus all the suspicious redactions. Those mormons are sneaky

I’ve been keeping up with it.
How is this police department not shut down? They’re a criminal organization.

based on my non-scholarly research over the years (youtube + dateline), this is pretty much par for the course for the police departments in these small mormon communities. they're all allegiant to their church first.

Did you see where they pulled over someone an hour outside of their jurisdiction for making a legal exit? Lackluster posted a video last week. This department needs to be disbanded.
Also, I don't know if they fixed it yet. In the police response video the first section where they talk about the fake UPS delivery with the rubber ducks to Joshua Johnson since the whole video is about Joshua being stalked. They messed up bad. That section was never about Joshua. That section was the other franchise owner Brandon Best. The reason we know, they show the package label in the police response video and dox Brandon Best's address for everyone. And you can tell its an entirely different house from the rest of the videos in that response video. Incompetence along with corruption.

I first came across Reckless Ben when he did his McCavey manor deep dive, but I think this story is a little bit of bullshite.
