They were the American Beatles. They modernized American rock/pop. Pet sounds is probably the most influential American album of all time.

He was a phenomenal composer and his harmony arrangements are unmatched to this very day.

RIP.

It has been a few years since I’ve seen it, but I recall the movie about him “Love & Mercy” being really good.

Brian Wilson dropped in on the Barenaked Ladies during one of their recording sessions. He listened to the new stuff they were working on and performed his version of their song "Brian Wilson".
