trial run of this rushed medicine.

Hasn't this been around for years? It's side effects are fairly well known. It isn't a cure for Covid, just a drug that has shown to help a little.

If I were hospitalized with Covid, I would want to take it.

We have seen it helps "some" in our system

Enough to point towards the drug being the reason. But when I say some, I mean like your cruise ship is sinking and remdesivir would be the little boy bailing out water with his bucket

No. Instead you get to watch nurses tiktok dance and get fined by Latoya for not wearing the mask.

I know someone that worked very specifically on the remdesivir trials and that person was extremely encouraged by the results, enough to say it had an effect.

I absolutely agree with the data I have seen from our system it had an effect

But think like the effect advil can maybe have on severe back pain, not the effect antibiotic have for ear infections

WaydownSouth so why is the FDA giving it emergency approval?? Not being ugly -- I just don't know! Is it just a money maker for "someone"??

remdesivir is proven to be of little use for covid. this is yet another example of big pharma owning the FDA

Because its a novel virus and there are no proven treatments.

Some of the studies I’ve seen suggests it can reduce mortality numerically but its not statistically significant. Meaning its probably better than doing nothing. The question is if its worth $500 a vial.

Similar boat to Tamiflu. I can tell you, I personally wouldn’t pay more than $20-$30 for a course of tamiflu being that it only shortens the time you have it by a day and lessens the severity a little.

He said the same thing that every other virologist was saying. The good doctor deserves no credit.

Good luck to everyone who takes the trial run of this rushed medicine.

Enjoy the inevitable class action.

This drug has been around for a really long time. Just used for malaria. Extensive, years long studies into possible negative side effects.

Whether it’s efficacy is legit or not, this is not a “rushed medicine”. You sound like a moron out of their depth,

ETA:

If I’m hospitalized with COVID, I’d definitely ask for this in my cocktail. Low risk and it appears to help some people maybe a little

I’m not saying it’s effective or not but your articles don’t question things such as testing methodology not the study and stats enough
