#BREAKING: We are aware of reports of an active shooter at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center - Twentynine Palms. More to follow.
This is the largest Marine Corps base in the U.S., I believe.

No. I believe Camp Pendleton is the largest. Both are in California.

One is the crown jewel of the USMC, the other, not so much.

Lone shooter taking on a bunch of Marines who are ready for some gun action?? Not too smart.

Then I did a year at Camp Shwab Okinawa. That was way worse.

You should check out Terminal Boots on Youtube. I am sure nothing has changed at the Stumps since then.

I have heard some wild stories from a co worker about that place

Not sure about Schwab, but it was 50/50 on Marines who enjoyed Oki from my experience. It was 100% on people who hated 29 Palms.
I wouldn't know from experience though, I hit the jackpot and got Pendleton, MARFORRES New Orleans, and then Lejeune.

Did they give you full disability?
I was only there for like a few days and it sucked. So glad, I was just passing through to Pendleton.

How many were shot? Was it more or less than 14?
How many killed? Was it more or less than 2?

Algiers
ETA: I did go TAD to the Bywater location while I was still stationed at Pendleton. The building was a run down dump, but at the time The Joint was right out the front gate. I went there for lunch 2-3 times a week
