I think it was approved as a no-knock but they announced anyway or something changed (rendering it not a no knock).
From what I last followed it was issued no knock, they did knock but at best mixed reports on announcing with just one neighbor saying they heard it and inconsistent feedback from the officers on that issue

LMPD Update on Officers
- Two officers were shot at around 8:30 pm at 1st and Broadway when called to disperse a large crowd at Brook and College (nearby). Both officers were shot in the same area.
- 1 is alert and stable, 1 is in surgery but is stable at University Hospital.
- A suspect is in custody.
