That was a mostly successful day for airlines
It only affected .004 percent of flights that day, I don't see why I have to take my shoes off.

Someone asked earlier about where some of the stuff was happening.
Jefferson Square Park is where the protesting started and has largely been focused.
The blue dot beneath UofL Hospital is where the officers were shot.
The blue line in the right hand corner is Bardstown Rd/Highlands where there was a confrontation between officers and protestors earlier in the evening.

Our national headline in 2020 would be
Unexpected landings for 4 US flights today. National Air Travel Disrupted

Has CNN even covered the attack on police?

Here in Louisville? It's been on every major news outlet (at least online).

Surprisingly, Don Lemon didn’t spin the cops getting shot tonight. Just covered the facts as they are known. Sad that just describing events as they occurred is “different” for him.

Really sucks because we moved here a few years ago and fell in love with the town..... I hope it rebounds quickly but this will be a lot to over come.

I’m sorry that your town is a sacrificial lamb in the 2020 election year wedge issue frenzy. Baton Rouge and Dallas were unwilling hosts in 2016. I can sympathize.
Louisville will recover. BLM and Antifa will go away after the election and won’t resurface until 2024.

Like all of this, the country will be on to some new outrage in 6 months tops. Probably 6 weeks.

If we could recover from the '68 race riots, we can recover from this.

Yeah we will be fine and if need be move to Oldham or Indiana..... Just hate that some downtown businesses will never be able to recover.

Was watching one of Jefferson Square but pretty much everyone has gone home at this point.
I'm guessing it'll be a shitshow tomorrow night when folks from both sides (and mostly all out of town) end up showing up. Or this weekend.
Either way, I've gotta crash.
