I have gravitated to coffee in the morning, a decent mixed lunch, and yogurt/fruit in the evening.
However, I will occasionally swap yogurt/fruit for lunch and then the heavier meal with meat, rice, veggies in the evening.
But, I’m not working in a field all day either.

I had cold leftover fried flounders and shrimps for breakfast this morning.
This past Friday morning, I took some leftover ribeye and cooked jasmine rice and pan sautéed it with some garlic, ginger, oyster and chili sauce.

A healthy and proper breakfast or first meal of the day consists of animal fat and protein, and zero carbs.

Sorry if this thread came across as aggressive, I just think Waffle House has traumatized me. Horrible establishment.

What’s the appeal of breakfast food options?
Eggs bacon sausage and the other mainstays are fantastic. Sausage is so good.
Vanilla Greek yogurt is great. Fruit is great. Salsa/hot sauce at times is great.
Breakfast burritos are fantastic. Gravy is awesome. Fried chicken Benedict with sausage gravy is heaven.
There are truly countless good breakfast meals.
frick is wrong with you?

The only thing I want to eat in the morning is breakfast food. You are a weirdo.

I wasn't going to pile on the downvotes until I saw this. I love WH.

This is the most retarded thing I’ve ever read.

And I don’t mean the idea of eating in the morning, but the fact that your food options are limited to crappy food like pancakes, waffles, bacon, and so on.

Give me a steak or a burrito and I’m good. This is a problem because I eat once a day during the morning. How did we collectively decide as a society on what is and what isn’t appropriate food for breakfast?
UPDATED: Sorry if this thread came across as insensitive (I forget that the LA obesity ratio is 10:1, similar to the down to up vote ratio of this post), I just think Waffle House has traumatized me. Horrible establishment. And eggs are good, but that’s the outlier. If you’re going to give me breakfast, it better just be a plate full of scrambled eggs.
Your name wouldn’t happen to be Karen………would it?

Haha touché. Maybe if you guys were as combative about NOLA policies, it wouldn’t be such a dump. Maybe redirect this energy there. I respect it.

I’ll have to agree with you there 350%.

We can be like the Brits and eat beans with toast.
Or just take your eggs and bacon and waffles or pancakes.

All those you mentioned are delicious but aren't your only food options for breakfast.

Eating breakfast out is stupid. It's overpriced for abysmal food.
I don't eat breakfast, but I make my husband an over easy egg, with a toasted sough dough muffin & a 2nd cup of coffee, every morning.
I will qualify - my husband asks if I want a breakfast sandwich from the gas station, on the weekend, My answer (in my head) is "I want all of them!"
I politely say no, and he asks "Yes, no or no, no?" and I say "No, no."

Opposed to eating out for lunch of dinner when the food is also overpriced?
I ate Greek the other day and ordered 2 extra pitas. One for me, one for someone else. That was $7.00.

Uh, one is definitely not like the others.
There’s not a single fricking thing wrong with bacon. In fact if the only thing you ate was bacon in the morning you’d be infinitely better off than someone eating a bowl of Cheerios

You obviously don’t know anything about breakfast. Waffle House All Star with a waffle is #1!
