Brain Surgeon recommendation in BR

I’m not available anytime soon. I will be in Bora-Bora for the next month and a half.
But catch up with me after the holidays.

Unfortunately I have a lesion in my brain that needs to be removed. Anybody have or know someone with great experience?

Find out whoever it was that operated on Tiger Ryno. And stay far, far, away.

Seriously, good luck to you.

Have you tried Nelp? It's like Yelp ...but for for Nuero issues.

fwiw - We ended up at Tulane Nuero. Dr Dumont is fantastic!

It’s been my experience that doctors from India are the best.

Hope that helps. Best of luck.

I’m in California for work. Had a seizure yesterday morning and they wanted to do the surgery here but I would be stuck there and in a hotel for two weeks before I could travel home. I was treated for Stage 3 Melanoma two years ago, unfortunately it has probably spread to my brain. I will be talking to MD for treatments again, just looking for some great experiences with a neurosurgeon in BR. I’ve already heard of Scantz!

We used Dr Frank Cullichia in Marrero for my wife’s brain surgery.. His clinic has several different neurosurgeons with different specialties.

My recommendation is that you shouldn't limit your scope to Baton Rouge surgeons, when you're dealing with brain surgery.

My opinion is to find the best doctor in at least the region. Not in shite BR. I’m sure there’s good ones in Houston

We used someone in Southern California but he specialized in removing tumors. Barkhidarian (sp?) at St Johns in Santa Monica.

My recommendation is to avoid surgery if at all possible. Best of luck to you

Hate to hear this, but this is the absolute worst place you can come to get information this serious.

If someone does suggest someone, there will be posters come behind them saying they are the worst and that they suggest another surgeon then it will go in a down spiral from there.

if there are options for controlling the seizures that you’re okay with trying I would highly suggest it. THC / CBD combo are beneficial for seizures as well as tumors. That is what my SO uses to prevent regrowth. Still recovering things that have popped up since and surgery was in ‘15

FWIW it was a tumor wrapped around brain stem and completely different from your situation. I just try to inform people because, if we had more time to treat and surgery wasn’t absolutely necessary, we wouldn’t have done it.

Is there a way to PM you or something? You're gonna need an oncologist and and radiation oncologist too if this is metastatic melanoma. I can make that all happen, quickly.
