I’m all for helping kids have a family. It’s altruism and compassion. Thumbs up Chelsea. I’m not for begging for money publicly. Thumbs down Chelsea. Do this kind of thing within your circle or it gets super sketchy and con- man- like.

Thank you for this. I’d donated just now. I encourage everyone else to do the same. The world needs more people like her.

My thought as well. She's now a single mom of 2 making $40k/year without supplemental child support
Well to be fair. Teach For America Teachers can make over 50k after first couple years. I know 23 yr olds making 53k for coming from Chicago area to Baton Rouge for TFA. If she's in 5th year and in ATL now, she's closer to 60k.
still broke as frick for 2 kids but.... not 40k.

The first kid was a student she taught at a low income school. The mom didn't want her kid so just signed him over to her.

Good luck finding some dude that's going to marry your butt now that you have two brown kids to feed at 24.
She must be out her mind. At 24, I was making a cool 55K and spending my weekends at that ridiculous club that used to be on 3rd street. One with a bunch of Jersey Shore looking buffoons.
You sound like a winner.

24 year old single woman that probably makes around $40k a year thought it would be a good idea to adopt 2 kids? Her heart might've been in the right place, but her brain sure wasn't.
She better get used to being a struggling single parent because not too many decent guys are going to be lining up to date someone with 2 kids.

I cannot even count the number of nights I have laid in my bed and shed tears (like, bawling, for real) to God to provide relief and financial support for my boys.
God won’t provide money for you, but the guys at the penthouse club sure will.

I understand wanting to help. It is probably hard for these teachers to see some of the situations some of these kids come from and not be able to do much about it, but like with anything else in life, before you decide to do something... have a plan. Figure out if you have the resources to do whatever it is you want to do.
And as a side comment, I hate the whole gofundme thing. When you see people who have far worse situations than others, who are asking for money.. How can someone get money to some dipshit who wants money to move to another city when there is a kid suffering from some type of health issue, who needs money to help with the cost associated with whatever they are dealing with... And then how do you know that situation isn't a scam?

Yeah, something doesn't add up here. She wouldn't be allowed to adopt these kids without proving she is financially able to take care of them and she is only 24. I have a hard time imagining a judge would allow her to adopt any kids at her age, she can't even rent a car in a lot of places!. I wonder if she really has full custody of them or if this is just some kind of temporary thing?
