Spot on. This didn’t happen with Kip as mayor and Carl Dabadie or Jeff Leduff in charge.

Hunt them down, arrest them, charge them with everything you possibly can, impound the vehicles, slap every fine you can legally enforce on the car, give them 90 days to come up with the money, sell the vehicles after they fail to pay the fines. Prosecute fully and give them the maximum sentence allowed.

And....

It shouldn’t surprise me, but this only warrants a TICKET? Jesus.

I don’t disagree, but who is going to do this?

Siegen and I-10? It wouldn't occur to M. Paul to deploy a street racer task force to the Siegen area? Unforeseeable? It's not like street racers appear on Siegen on the regular is it? Nope. The situation is if you work for BRPD you are are denutted. You go to work knowing the streets belong to the criminal, not you, and there is not a damn thing you can do about it. Also, I-10? LSP where are you. This ain't a cane field in the middle of nowhere. Siegen = La. Hwy 3246...that means you Troop. And ain't Troop A just one exit down the road (2 from Bluebonnet)? Time to be big boy cops and start busting arse, or just quit if you don't want to do it, or aren't allowed to.

I guess BRPD doesn't do undercover operations. Get a Charger rigged with cameras and mics and join the street racer party. Talk to people. After, review the videos for tags, faces, plates, and even tattoos. Look at your FIC database and find some of the people you know you've dealt with previously and go make some arrests, impounds, and hit 'em with some heavy fines. Oh wait, fines and arrests are racist.

Edit: it was pointed out the Siegen is unincorporated EBR and as such is the EBRSO's responsibility. Didn't know.

It would be pretty fun to put out some spike strips in popular locations but I'd feel bad if I screwed up some normal person's tires

Why can’t they do this stuff in North Baton Rouge?

Why can’t the police arrest people for inciting a riot?

I thought there was an ordinance in place to have the bystanders arrested too, how come they weren’t at least ticketed?

Broome doesn’t care. The City council doesn’t care. The police chief doesn’t care. Why couldn’t the state police be called since it was on the interstate?

This is what all my tax dollars get me.

I'd start with the police who wrote the tickets.

Thats the hilarious thing about all of this. Theyre in the same area every weekend. They dont have to look for them.

You could have some cop go there in street clothes in a mustang, get all the plates, and confirm the lot theyre in. Have the cops go there and pounce on them and get who you can. Every car that doesnt get out impound it and put the maximum money on it to get it out. Arrest everyone.

These are people from all over the city. Go check out Burbank on the weekend around Lee. Its ghetto trash everywhere in their Chargers racing like its Daytona Speedway. This isnt strictly a north BR thing at all

Impound any car caught doing this shite or on the scene. This shite isn’t complicated or hard to shut down

have you spoken with a policeman lately? They aren’t allowed to do much, I’m actually surprised they wrote tickets

Hopefully it was just The Advocate’s parking lot and not a business that produces value for the community.

Who’s telling them they aren’t allowed to do much?
