It was assumed by many that this lot would remain green space after the Bluebonnet corridor was developed. Hence, rows of crape myrtles were planted on the lot. Then the city "decides" to sell it. I can't imagine it was worth $900k as it is not deep at all. Can't imagine what would fit there with parking. This still stinks to high heaven!

The lot directly across Jefferson is roughly the same size and shape and was sold for $1M. They're building a bank on it.

The entire issue in one word

HECK!

The entire family are a bunch of slimey thieves. They will screw over anyone they can and protect their crooked friends at the expense of others.

I don't see the problem. Isn't this how Trump made his wealth? Sounds like he's just better at making deals and business decisions than the rest of us.

Reminds me of some bullshite deals I heard in South Mississippi.
Guy buys a property in the middle of nowhere for say $10 G.
Then all of a sudden, the county school board decide to buy said property for a new school for hundreds of thousands.

Nah, not close at all.

One is Slavic, the other has Roman origins.

One uses the Cyrillic alphabet, the other uses the Latin alphabet.

One is in northern and eastern Europe and Asia, the other is in southern Europe.

One is a member of NATO, the other is an adversary of NATO.

Could it be just a coincidence that the councilman's wife and the developer who bought the property are both romainian?

You mean 1/90? Had he bought this piece for 75k or 100k id feel less pissed off about this. He got a potential 1 million dollar piece for the price of a used truck.

Ryan Heck is very close to Radu Cosman via his wife who is also Romanian. They like family and are in concrete business together. Ryan got the property listed as surplus and city auctioned it off accordingly by not advertising it very well, basically a small public notice advertised in Advocate that nobody reads. Problem is that this property was supposed to remain green space and never developed. I wonder if the city plans to sell the remaining triangular lots that have not been sold yet that are also supposed to remain green space? Definitely an inside deal. Was it illegal or incompetence?

It's how you pronounce Corleone in Romanian.

The first lot Radu purchased via auction was back in 2013. This Bluebonnet Blvd lot is located directly behind his two residential lots that face Bluebonnet Road. Radu bought his first house on Bluebonnet Road via a foreclosure back in like 2005, then bought the house next door, then the Bluebonnet Blvd triangular lot behind his two residential Bluebonnet Road lots (note Bluebonnet Road is not Bluebonnet Blvd - these are two different streets that run parralel) in 2013 via auction for only $50K and now that corner lot for $10K, which the city was supposed to never sell. That corner lot was supposed to remain a green space and never sold. The first lot was easily worth $250K in 2013 and he bought that property for $50K, and that corner lot on Bluebonnet and Jefferson is definitey a million dollar property for only 10K. He got a brother-in-law deal because he was able to get Ryan Heck to get the land listed for auction via his MC seat. The auction process was legal, but not advertised very well other than a small public notice in the Advocate classifieds that nobody reads. Definitely an inside deal, but was it an illegal inside deal? Don't know if anything illegal was committed. Nevertheless Ryan Heck and Radu Cosman are like family, Radu is not just a campaign donor. They are very close like relatives via his wife who is also Romanian.
