I was around BR for many years before Al Gore made up a way for Al Gore to make money off of selling the climate hoax to idiots. It was hot back then, too.

It also had gingers back then, but they didn't hunt us, like now.

They are in denial.

While the thugs and gangs shout up the town, they are playing house with their dolls.

Yes. Let's address the climate. Will an electric car prevent an LSU student from getting murdered at a stop light?

It's truly a WTF article, and I'm no fan at all of electric cars, but this does bring up the point if Allie were shot in a Tesla, there would be footage of it. There are cameras all over those cars.

But what a terrible article for the Business Report to put out there. As if climate risks are what's fricking this town up.

This is how you know someone is full of shite.

The question:

quote:

how Baton Rouge can fulfill its potential as an economically thriving midsized city

It's pretty straightforward, many here could probably come up with a list of bullet points with some pertinent details.

Instead of something direct and to-the-point, we get a 3-paragraph introduction full of nothing but qualifiers, cliche's and buzzwords. She uses hundreds of words to say absolutely nothing pertaining to the question. This need for a massive preface filled with emptiness always strikes me as someone who is covering their lack of grasp of the issues with excessive piles of bullshite.

I’m surprised that car insurers haven’t tried to mandate dash cams for the same reasons they are required in Russia… too many drunken uninsured assholes getting into wrecks.

She's speaking to her target audience. Broome has done nothing but vomit word salads since she was first elected and people around her think she's intelligent as a result.

CPEX, Manning Broom’s employer/fiefdom is bankrolled by BRAF. It’s all the same club of people like Spain and Davies and the list goes on who professionally hit up the super wealthy leftists like Enquist and Lipsey to bankroll their “planning” and economic development or to fight St George. There’s a reason anyone worth half a shite leaves CPEX after a few years and it’s due to her. What have they accomplished? Model solar ordinances? Complete streets manual? An annual smart growth summit? It’s all useless democratic drivel and frankly recreations (based on extensive literature reviews at a hefty price tag) of shite from other places. CPEX is the epitome of the stereotype for studies on top of plans on top of outreach missions…worthless but effective at wasting taxpayer dollars and donations. At its core, it is a propaganda and employment program for those who can’t cut it in the private sector.

Bingo. It's a total beauty pageant contestant answer. I read it three times before posting because I wanted to separately quote how climate change would make BR better. Nothing.

Well I can’t read her actual full op-ed because I’m not going to pay $2/week for access to a Rolfe McCollister publication.

I’m curious if she decides to take the leap that Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas no longer need the tens of thousands of jobs provided by the petrochemical and oilfield industries.

The Advocate beat that drum, then months later sent out tweets and emails begging folks to donate to their publication so they could afford to pay their “journalists”.

Climate change policies are what are going to kill us all. They will eliminate us from having a reliable power grid and eventually kill our economy because energy will be scarce. And guess what? Crime will be 200 times worse than it is now.

Can we please stop allowing stupid progressives into public office?

They don’t care. So much of BR and LA both are propped up by government funding that they think that is all of what they need.

If oil and gas ditch this area, all we have left is the school and state government. And the school’s about to be up shite creek.
