Bought a Phone Off Swappa *Update*

It was listed as "Mint" and "Pristine."
Delivered Friday afternoon and the screen has a scratch. Posted a pic and left a comment on Swappa. Still waiting on the seller to respond.
How long should I wait before I contact PayPal and dispute the charge? Or be patient and let Swappa correct the issue?
The seller replaced the phone with one actually in Pristine condition

WTF is Swappa?
PS - to answer your question, paypal wants you to attempt to work it out with merchant first so keep your emails, notes, etc.

Swappa's customer service is excellent. Contact them and they will make it right.

Keep pinging the seller and the Swappa help ticket.
Were there pictures of the device on the listing when you bought it?
Swappa is probably the best marketplace for buying a used phone. I've gotten a few phones on there, never had an issue.
It's a good way to get a cheap crap phone for "Trade in any model phone for $X" deals.

I used to sell phones on swapping but it’s been years. They were legit, made you post a lot of pics and send them verification that you actually had what you were trying to sell. I’m sure they’ll make it right if the seller isn’t working with you (assuming that scratch wasn’t disclosed or in the photos).
I’d give the seller until mid-day tomorrow, that’s two full business days, plenty of time to acknowledge that they got your message.

The ignorance in this thread is typical for the OT.
I have used Swappa many times. It is the safest place to buy a used phone - safer than Amazon and absolutely safer than eBay.
Their customer service is top notch. I have no doubt that they will force the seller to make this right.
In the future, only buy from a seller with close to a 100% rating and has had a shite load of transactions and reviews.
Good luck!

I bought a Surface on there years ago that bricked. Took it to MS Store and they gave me a brand new one.
I stopped buying off it bc not worth the hassle.

The fact that they call it "Swappa" and not "Swapper" was all I needed to know

The same thing happened to me, when I bought a phone from a Latin guy named Caveat Emptor. Maybe you should meet him...
