Both tests for Covid-19 came back negative on Natasha Ott the 39 year old healthcare worker that the national news had everyone convinced that she died from the corona virus.

What is the media going to do now?

A lot of people expected this because, while I won't say it's impossible, the evidence doesn't indicate people are just dropping dead from COVID-19 like this.

They also got shite on by the dad of the 17-year-old who died. The media immediately claimed it was COVID-19 and the dad put them in their place and said he died of heart failure, not the virus.

It’s really hard for people to get tested but we’ll test dead bodies?

I wonder why the national media is so quick to sensationalize every death they can as being even remotely connected to coronavirus.

I mean, seems kind of relevant to know if younger, relatively healthy people are dying suddenly from coronavirus, doesn't it?

No issue with the testing IMO

Man falls off ladder and kills himself by accident. Dies while boarding up for a hurricane 3 days away.

Death toll attributed to hurricane..+1. Same stuff.

Sweep it under the rug, find a new story to pound their narrative while pimping clearly false stats from China

This was a big case for the "YOUNG HEALTHY PEOPLE WILL DIE TOO!" crowd.

The dead don't wiggle and get all melodramatic when taking a swab from them.

Ever tried getting a swab from a drama mama who won't shut up?

This is a very stressful time.

To harken back to our own Hurricane Katrina experience. We had folks dying at the Superdome. But, those early numbers (except for that 1 cat who fell/jumped/was pushed) were folks who had been relocated from nursing homes and hospitals and were, effectively emergent outside of a perfect environment.

Folks are going to continue dying of heart attacks. If they test positive for this virus and don't have any symptoms associated with it, doesn't mean that person died from the virus.

If a person is in active cancer treatment for a serious or advanced cancer diagnosis, gets the virus and dies? Yes, that person technically dies of the virus, but obviously a combination of things at work.

The media should be more responsible, but that ship sailed a long time ago. Their only goal is to be first with the story that fits the agenda. Period.

It aint a hoax but it sure is overhyped by the media... next thing you will see is "NO East gun shot victim, likely covid 19 victim dies en route to overcrowded hospital"

To be fair, it was a legit assumption. Healthcare worker in NOLA suddenly dies during the worst pandemic the city has seen since interview with a vampire..But hopefully theyll report the facts

From my recollection of the article (I read it earlier this morning) she was tested a week or so ago and it came back negative. Her symptoms changed, got worse, or whatever, so she got tested again. While waiting on the results from the second test she died. Looks like the results from the second test just came back negative. So no, they didn't test a dead person.
