My mom went home today. My dad is still in the hospital. He's absolutely miserable. And has had the hiccups the better part of 2 days so he's gotten little rest. On a lot of oxygen. Toradol for aches, tamiflu and antibiotics to ward off any future bacterial infection. Thanks for all the well wishes. Means a lot to me and my family!

The hiccups sounds like hell by itself, on top of the rest....dang. I once had them for a couple hours; I can't imagine any longer. Here's for hoping he is back home soon.

My husband used to get hiccups at LSU football games (no lie). He finally got a prescription for I think thorazine (?) and though it made him a little sleepy, it solved the hiccup issue.

Update on my folks. My mom recovered rather quickly and went home Wednesday. My dad was not so fortunate. The virus ravaged his lungs and now we have had to put him in hospice. He was using 27 LPM of oxygen and his aturation wouldn't get above 92 at the hosp. He was absolutely miserable. He is receiveing 13LPM of O2 and a lil morphinge and he hasn't been this calm in a week. I'm just heartbroken that I'm about to lose my dad! Thanks everyone for the well wishes!
