Definitely wouldn't go past the 50s.

Life was pretty rough back in the day unless you were filthy rich

knowing what i know now, i'd go back to the middle ages and conquer the world. but i'd need a few good metalworkers and engineers. possibly a jedi master.

Yeah we will probably have the technology by then to do interstellar space exploration...or should I say we will have invented the technology but it will do the exploring

I think it would be fun to go to the 1870s in the Wild West. Be a sooner and claim my 200 acres of land, smoke cigars and drink whiskey without hearing my pesky wife nag about it, and roll in to saloons with spurs clinging

Oh, this thread again.

Ever had a really bad toothache due to a rotten tooth? Yeah, those used to be a thing. I'll take modern dentistry any day.

I disagree with the OP's original premise.

There's no right Century to be born in.

No Buick was designed as a Delivery Room.

However this Camry really delivers!

No air conditioning, no want. I'll take now or actually 25 years younger than I am.

I'd probably would've liked to have been born 10-15 years earlier (early to mid 70s).

Sometime before the Civil War, that's for sure.

What's the old saying about you can't miss Paris if you've never been to Paris?

Folks born before residential Air Conditioning was commonplace in the US just dealt with it. I went my entire 9th grade year in an old school building that wasn't Air Conditioned.

You just dealt with it.

Now, I'd tell them to GFY, agreed but I'm spoilt.

I'd have wanted to dodge having to fight in the WWs, Korea, & Vietnam.

Also, reportedly, the Great Depression sucked long term for a lot of folks.

I would not want to be alive anytime before antibiotics and vaccinations.

People forget how easily you died from stuff before antibiotics and vaccines were available.

1975

Pre AIDS

Coke was good for you

Weed was not frowned upon

Plus I could invest 1k in Microsoft and 1k in Apple and be rich the rest of my life.

Would like to have been born in 1970 so I could have gone to LSU 88-92 - peak partying years of the school.

After WWII, every five-year span had some peak partying years in it.
