Family members said Pretti owned a handgun and had a permit to carry a concealed handgun in Minnesota. They said they had never known him to carry it.

This is big piece of the context. Actively and consistently carrying a concealed weapon requires a mindset that Pretti did not exhibit. Did not have his permit on him, put himself in a confrontational situation with law enforcement, chose to escalate the situation....a whole series of bad decisions only he is responsible for. The typical low-info posters here will never consider this though.

and if the LEO doesn't push the woman, he's still alive... you can even extrapolate that even further, with both sides sharing an equal amount of blame...

Objectively, the first point of escalation and physical contact was the officer unlawfully shoving a lady to the ground.

You seriously need an adult in your household to show you a dictionary if you think that is what "objectively" means. You clowns grasp at any and all straws.

damn, it's almost like he concealed the fact that he was carrying a handgun...

question, when you conceal carry, do you just randomly announce it anyone, even family?

Seperate interaction that did not involve him. He chose to interject himself into the situation.

So Pretti didn't have the emotional maturity not to escalate that situation further? That's your argument? How moronic.

there is not one video, of all the videos out there, that show Pretti as the one that escalated the situation... not one

Here's the Webster definition

quote:

in an objective rather than subjective or biased way : with a basis in observable facts rather than feelings or opinions

Do you have some unreleased video where Pretti made contact first?

You’re supposed to when being detained. You’re also supposed to carry the permit and ID. While he was legally permitted, he apparently didn’t have those items on him. Which isn’t surprising as most of these agitators are taught not to have ID.

still don't think we've gotten an answer on how closing the distance to shove down the film lady was part of his duties that day.

Not defending it but you could argue these were two separate instances

You should represent the ICE agent in court. Jury will find this very compelling.

I've been looking for an answer to this and no one seems to be able to give it to me: is there ever a scenario where someone can legally interject to stop an officer's unlawful act?

If Officer Chud speeds over to Cava to pistol whip his no-good cheating whore of a wife and you get between them, he can legally blow your brains out?

he instinctually saw a woman get pushed to the ground, and jumped between her and what he saw as her threat... he didn't interject before the push, even though he clearly would have had the opportunity to, yet he didn't, unless you have footage that none of us are privy to...
