I think we’ve done a decent job wrestling away the ridiculous narrative that some have tried to establish while facilitating solid debate.

It's concerning how many people here don't see it this way.

As someone who has already stated multiple times that ICE has a level of culpability here, I want to point out that the shooting agent had no way to know that Pretti had been disarmed at the time he fired.

And Trump’s largest ICE operation in history doesn’t happen without massive illegal immigrants crossing the border under Biden’s unlawful immigration policy

Now you're taking his framing shifting and REALLY shifting the framing.

I wasn't making a political argument. I was pointing out diverting the conversation into that was a type of cope-defense mechanism, actually.

The "bad shoot" wouldn't have happened if the Trump admin didn't choose to create the "largest ICE operation in history" to create this chaos.

Am I wrong about that?

Yes. This is a ridiculous argument.

you keep replying to me when I haven’t spoken to you. If it isn’t already apparent, let me make it clear: your opinion of me or my posts is irrelevant to me. To me, you’re just another Leftist pretending to be a Moderate.

We have already established your focus isn't on maximizing detentions and deportations.

This for the win. This should have never been allowed and Democrats are responsible for this.

Framing? You used an “if” statement as if that was the sole catalyst of this whole situation. It’s not.

You trying to frame-shift is just digging yourself deeper into this hole

it's a cope mechanism to protect the in-group identity OR, probably more important, avoid being labeled or self-conceptualized as the out-group.

Making that frame-shifting partisan is amplifying the impact

You've been attempting to frame-shift this entire thread, which is why you're ignoring my pointed yes or no question.

So, again, yes or no.

Centinel did this, actually. I used it to show his frame-shifting attempt.

So when do we worry about Minnesota? When the dems have the presidency again and they suddenly don’t care about ICE again?

I wouldn’t considering a coping mechanism. It’s rightly discussing this issue in terms of political culpability - which is what all sides are ultimately doing including you.

Starting an argument with “this wouldn’t have happened if…” then blaming Trump isn’t political framing!?

It’s been stated several times already… neither party has or intends to push for true immigration system and court reform. It’s too politically advantageous for both parties

Is this supposed to excuse or explain the shooting in any way?

Man I have a 12:30 tee time. I don’t have time for that.

I’ve said my peace, so until more develops here, I’m probably done posting about it anyways.
