The response to COVID didn’t save lives. Telling people they can’t go to work/church/the beach but that they can shop at Walmart if they wrap a bandana around their face isn’t good public policy.

I’d also realize, that specific thing you are attacking doesn’t apply directly to me.
If you in that group it directly applies to you, sweetie.

How would we know that at the time.

All I knew was they were locked away in a hospital by younger generations and died alone.

If I went in I would probably never see my wife again.

I don’t believe you and I don’t care either way.

People who were scared of the virus were free to never leave their home until it was all over, but that wasn’t good enough for them. They were already retired with nice homes and a nice fat 401k, and they said screw everyone else, shut it all down. It was entirely selfish, and they deserve scorn.

This has to be a joke. You cannot be stupid enough to blame “younger generations” for old people dying alone in hospitals.

and once again you revert to attacking me personally because I'm offended by the generational attack on me.

May I should go back to my rocking chair and just be quiet.

I could name them but won't on this site. 2 were Fire Chiefs (retired) and all 4 were people that gave time and money to the communities. That's the circles I move in. That's why they were friends .... but like your generation, you don't care.

Just so we die and you get the inheritance.

Enjoy because there will be generations coming after you.

I’m in neither of these groups, but they are basically the same people. Grew up protesting and not realizing how much better things had been made for them by prior generations.

My generation had retired from the medical field. Who do you think suggested and enforced it.

Look, if you don't know any of this I'm going to discount your input entirely and call it a personal rage because you don't like how you effected you.

This would be a typical rant of the spoiled generation I helped to raise.

Looking at the increase of house price, it seems like a simple chart without other factors. Does it include average SF of houses or mortgage rate? There's no doubt the median home price has outpaced wages, but what about the ability to purchase, demands, etc.

1985 the mortgage rates were about 12%. The average SF of home in 1985 was 1700sf and now it's pushing 2700sf.

Gold? Silver? Property?

Had gold in the portfolio, but it was the ex's from her parents so that is gone. I own property that still needs to be settled but that equity(house is paid for), will be going to my new property where i am designing to build a house. Had property on the beach in florida but sold it and that's what paid off my home with the ex.

I am all ears for other opinions.

They’re dead, why does it matter? Sounds like they were public figures anyway
