You cannot save yourself rich, you can invest yourself beyond that though.
The amount of money to be made in stocks especially if you don’t have debt and can risk a little more is insane. You can make literal salaries every year.
Example this year: Joby
Thousands of shares of this at $4-$5 a share and they are now touching 17-18
That’s a year salary for most baws. Actually more.

Despite the irrational fears of about 90% of the country the United States is actually in pretty good shape and has been for about 20 years or so. Crime is down, wages are up (slightly), inflation is about where it should be, unemployment is historically low....if you turn off social media and stop watching Fox or CNN or MSNBC and actually look at the data we are in pretty damn good shape. The problem is we have been in said good shape for so long that many know its time for an upheaval....we are actually WAY past time, and it could happen, but there is nothing indicating it is imminent. That ain't to suggest we don't have room for improvement but given the country is in better shape than it has been historically for most of their adult lives boomers have, apparently, done something right.....
I don't know where the angst comes from but it is palpable. It is irrational but perception is far more realistic for most people than reality....

This generation blaming is such a copout. You crybabies sound like ethnic groups blaming white people for all their problems.
Like them, you don't want to come to terms with the concept of accountability.

I was laughing at your statement that “you can blame the debt on stupid voters” The debt has expanded mightily under leadership from both parties going back to the new deal. Some of kept it in check better than others.
The largest scale increases in debt since the depression occurred under Reagan and GWB, followed by Obama and then GHWB—the boomers were massive benefactors here with public debt fueling massive growth and in Obama’s case, keeping it afloat.
If you were a white collar boomer, you had to be a complete retard not to get rich, even on modest wages. Equities exploded, they were there with massive piles of cash to invest in this new tech revolution, which has created a whole new class of money at the top.
They do get a lot of shite for causing everything just because they were so well positioned to be successful by virtue of the size of their generation.

Refusing to do any self evaluation and completely dismissing anything they don’t like to hear is a typical boomer trait

What the frick is up with millennials and gen z?? They're like Minnesota Vikings fans. They blame everyone else for their misfortunes. Couldn't possibly fathom spending 5 minutes just accepting that they suck and possibly stand up and do something about it.

Agreed. I have investments. Though with my divorce last year I gave away half. Still they are doing well. I need to find a diversification. I don't have time to play the stocks daily with work, too many meetings, would never work. Not sure what i need to do but i need to find a diversification in investment.

I didn’t in that post.
I am now though, as you clearly can’t read. Probably why you took it so personally

If it’s objectively true, and not a good trait, of course I wouldn’t.
I’d also realize, that specific thing you are attacking doesn’t apply directly to me.
Extremely simple stuff
