In any event, if the cause and origin of the failure is determined to be the BE-4 engines

Wondering if this was a tank failure. Were they starting the static fire at that moment?

Blue Orgin predates SpaceX

But SpaceX launched a rocket about 10 years before Blue Origin.

Orbital.

Think the companies have had purposefully different trajectories.

Yeah, one goes up and comes back. The other blows up. Smart.

Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

So. Being first to start but falling behind isn't exactly a ringing endorsement. And I pull for both Elon and Bezos to be successful in space. Your statement is as dumb as the people trying to dunk on Bezos.

Having said that, it sure is great Blue Origin was first because:

Current Standing
Scale & Launch Cadence: SpaceX is far ahead, with a much higher launch frequency and broader operational portfolio.

Orbital Capability: SpaceX leads in orbital launch volume and heavy-lift capacity; Blue Origin is catching up with New Glenn.

Government & Commercial Contracts: SpaceX has broader and more established partnerships with NASA, DoD, and commercial clients.

Vision & Future Goals: Both aim for the Moon and Mars, but SpaceX is already executing on lunar and interplanetary missions, while Blue Origin is in the early stages of its lunar program US

Destroying 39a is way more shameful than destroying 36.

That ought to be a significant insurance claim.

I’ve always wondered how that works. I mean I get that in this case it’s weird because Bezos, but for a normal commercial launch who is responsible for the cargo (and therefore responsible for the insurance)?

Guess I’m wondering what the Incoterms are for rocket payloads.
