I cannot fully articulate the level of outrage this inspires. The great, gleaming metropolis is being cannibalized by looting hordes emboldened by a supposed political movement that is little more than a flimsy rhetorical pretext for lawlessness and wealth redistribution. If anybody was still wondering why some of us are opposed to athletes and leagues supporting BLM, this is why. It encourages this behavior, it makes them think what they're doing is justified and supported. Support equality and actionable steps to make changes, not BLM.

If they do cover the damage, the insurance companies should sue the shite out of the city governments. Their clients' property taxes pay for police protection, which is a factor in insurance rates. Where the police pull back, the city governments are essentially in breach of contract.
I think it would be a hard case to win, but it might be worth the shot to send a message.
