Really wish they would dump the Baldwin as Trump cold opens. Alec took some time off last month and they had some of the best cold opens of the last couple of seasons without him. Farrell could do Bush every week and it would be funny, but Baldwin's Trump doesn't have the same charm. It almost feels too mean spirited.

He is. Ferrell's Bush is a good guy who is just completely out of his element. Trump though it's just jabs at him personally to piss him off. It's petty as frick.

Those are always funny, the undertones be damned. I'll take a joke. My favorite was the Tom Hanks as a Trump voter one.

but outside of the south you aren't seeing much but salt, pepper and mrs dash.

Old Bay and Montreal Steak seasoning are on that list as well. Higher than Mrs Dash actually.

shhh. I put my dead white gramma's potato salad against any potato salad.
I think it's different in the South. Southerners got soul. "Soul food" is really just Southern food.

Bland white people with bland food come from other parts of the country.

That parody was freaking hilarious. Chadwick must be an amazing actor, I have no idea how he kept a straight face through that whole thing. That last line had me dying.

Also, I wonder if the white people cant season food is a northern thing. Cuz I havent experienced that at all. One of my white friend's mother probably makes the best fried chicken I have ever had (Sorry Grandma). It is so flavorful and juicy, but it's not super greasy either. You can just eat the chicken by itself, you dont need to add any hot sauce or ketchup because the flavor is all there. It is absolutely amazing.

But yea, if you add shite like raisins in your potato salad, you can gtfo. You definitely not coming to the cookout.

So when they say they carry hot sauce in their bag, is that cultural appropriation?

I guess the real issue is lumping all “white people” together. It’s much more regional and i’d be willing to bet that whites and blacks from the same area have more culinary similarities than “whites” from different regions.

Now the Midwest...that’s the land of the bland.

where in the frick did the stereotype that blacks are some master seasoners come from?

They ate food that was generally considered to be of poor quality and taste, so using a lot of seasoning and sauces or basically anything to enhance or mask the flavor of their food was necessary.

I felt like they were making a comeback. It got rough after they lost Forte, Wiig, Hader, Samberg, Sudeikis and Armisen, all within a few seasons.

They had a solid cast going again with Pharoah, Killam, Moynihan, Strong, and McKinnon as veterans. Then for some ungodly reason, Lorne dumps Killam and Pharoah and promotes a bunch of hacks like Davidson and Jones.

And Update, wowzers! Colin Jost is so far left he makes Che look like Steve Bannon

No, the real issue here is that this video took black actors and poked fun at black people ... but one joke about white people and the OT cries about it.

GTFO.

Ever had real Mexican food? It's bland as frick. TEXMEX on the other hand, is awesome.

So once again, southerners took a bland food and spiced it up.

Have you ever had real Mexican food? It definitely isn't bland.

And according to the OT, Texas isn't the South

It is definitely a stereotype largely shared the world over about us. When I used to go to a restaurant and order spicy food in Beijing, the waiters would laugh thinking they were about to be entertained since white people can't eat spicy food. They were always disappointed when they didn't get a show.

I had a similar experience in Korea. One of the KATUSA's (Korean soldiers augmented to the US Army) in my section told me he never saw an American eat spicy food like I did. I said you never met anyone from Louisiana.
