I love the nonsensical stereotype of “white people don’t know about seasonings.”
Motherfrickers...we literally conquered 2 fricking continents and colonized another 3 in search of spices.
Honkies invented Tabasco and many other hot sauces. You think wing places would be everywhere if white people didn’t know about spices?

It has nothing to do with that. I'll try watching SNL every year or so. After 10-15 minutes of not laughing I end up changing the channel. It's just not good... hasn't been since the 90s.

God damn Yankees...okay, how about this. The Yankees can keep their stereotype about southerners being racist rednecks...but they have to concede that we can cook. Far far far better than they do.
ETA: where in the frick did the stereotype that blacks are some master seasoners come from? Slathering Tabasco and Tony’s on everything (products made by honkies) does not mean you know how to season.
I’d actually go so far as to state that in general, every other minority culture (including native Africans) has a more nuanced grip on seasoning and flavor than Black Americans. As a whole.
Now I know some damn fine pitmasters who are black who definitely know how to season a hog. But that’s the exception in my opinion.
