What's wrong with black rims? I think they look better.

Can't stand the stock limited rims on the 4runners.
20 inch rims on a 4wd SUV look like arse imo.

This guy has the same roof rack and running boards as me on his stock rims. I'm leaving the rest of my car as is.

I don't drive one but I do know they are horribly underpowered. They use the outdated V6 with a 5 speed transmission - not much juice.
Pump the breaks buddy.
You can insult the powerplant, but don't insult the transmission.
If the Nissan 4.0 had the toyota trans behind it, it would be the best offroad combo sold, bar none.
The 4runner, xterra, and jeep were the only capable non luxury SUVs still made. Xterra is gone now, and the 4runner keeps getting more expensive.

Wheel # 4 w/ the flat cap w/ the tire combo I want is 16 pounds less per wheel/tire than my limited wheels.

I know the owner of this 4-Runner, he has a really nice swing out rear bumper too, it's a beast Offroad.

I think I'm leaning towards the TRD wheels now due to the weight savings of 16 pounds per

Consider that good for 2 mpg in town. Maybe a half on the hwy.
When I was looking for a wheel and tire combo, I was shocked to find my stock 16x7s were 16lbs a piece.
Without dropping 1k on carbon fiber wheels, it wasn't getting any better.
I hate my stock wheels, but weight savings trumps looks. I'm at 67lbs per corner, damned good for 32.5s that are C rated for 16s.

The stock wheels make it look like a grocery getter, which I guess is what 4 Runners have turned into.

Well I meant more in the looks & popularity area, not actual capability.
editing again -- I wasn't badmouthing your ride. Sorry if you took it that way. I think they are fine automobiles & your right very capable. I was just thinking about how often I see moms driving them around.
