I think what some people miss with the “black lives matter” thing, is that no one is saying only black lives matter. Basically it’s saying “black lives matter too.” So they are saying that it’s understood that other lives matter but just want to reiterate that black lives matter also. So there is no need to get offended and feel that someone saying black lives matter is in any way insinuating that other’s do not.

................they only matter when killed at the hands of a white cop. If black lives mattered, too, as you put it, then they'd be up in arms daily over the 1,000s of unruly deaths committed in their hoods, by their own. so no one takes that chant seriously, other than them, and the dems.

eta: its like having something\someone on the inside taking 60% of your money.............while at the same time, something\someone on the outside is taking 1% of your money...........and you bring all the attention to the 1% being taken because its from outside...........but never mention the 60% being taken, while that 60% continues to get took!!!

It's more appropriate to say all lives matter. It's not like whites aren't killed by cops. Nothing about this is racist unless you have proof that the police officer did this because of racism.

That is decidedly not what they are saying. Sure, those are the words coming out of their mouths, but if you think your sentence above adequately describes BLM, then you're deluded.

Also, are you white? If so, your opinion on what BLM means and your efforts to explain their movement are wholly unwelcome by BLM.

No one here is arguing black lives don't matter -- we're saying the exact opposite actually. What we reject is the false, completely unfounded narrative that blacks are being hunted down by police.

It's racist to say that all lives matter.

Nice thievery, I’ve only seen this posted by a few thousand other libs.

Go to a “gathering” and yell too at the end of every chant and let everyone know how that goes. Better yet, video it and post for others’ enjoyment.

have you seen the people saying this.....they are the most rasicst group in the US. They only think Black live matter if whites kill them. They hate whitey and they hat their fellow blacks. go look at the crime stats and who kills who and at what rate.

People always want to bring up crime statistics. Do you think hundreds of years of the trans-Atlantic slave trade, Jim Crow laws, and the fact that schools and things were segregated until 2 generations ago, have something to do with the state of the black community when it comes to things like crime?

You've come to the wrong place to have a discussion like this.
