My mother-in-law started doing that 73 years ago when she first learned how to speak.

If you've never been around a talking bird, normally they just make unitelligible gibberish with an odd word or two mixed in.

Now substitiute a full grown woman for the bird but keep the exact same speech tendencies and you've met my MIL.

I'm not joking at all.

Thank you for this. I had to work all day and I just wanted to eat and read the annual Thanksgiving family shite thread. The thread usually is a Springer style slug fest but was rather sad this year. Prayers and well wishes to lsunurse and the one who is having the first Thanksgiving without their Dad. And I learned a new phrase today. Turbo Christian.

Have his hormones checked. All of them including his estrogen.

Thank you for the information. I will bring this up with his PCP (we see him in a couple of weeks).

I take test injections twice a week subcutaneously. Small dose estrogen blocker 12 hours after.

Excersise. Changed diet. Dropped like 50 lbs. Once I got my test/estrogen ratio right lbs fell off. Energy skyrocketed. Worked out.

It's not a fixall but its not something to be overlooked.

You need to find out why your low if you are. Being on injections for life sucks but my thyroid was ruined due to the chemo type meds. You can fix it naturally if you are low due to stress/lack of sleep/weight. Try that first.

When you get to a certain fatness your body starts aromatasing and converting your testosterone TO estrogen making things exponentially worse.

Please do. I was 24 and no one would think about testing me. They tried all this shite that made me want to blow my brains out. Exact opposite effect and my wife was who finally put it all together. Got someone to listen to us.

Married 13 years and 3 kids ??.

Much better than blowing my brains out hehe.

Edit. Thyroid panel too just to be sure

He is on thyroid meds. Had thyroid surgery years ago. So I know his PCP already does routine thyroid labs.

I’ll bring it up to his psychiatrist as well.

It was good for the most part till my cousin told us he was interested in joining scientology. The whole room got quiet and his mom started screaming how she has failed him as a mother. Lets just say we did our best to talk him out of that cult but he wants to find "his true meaning"

thanksgiving

I see so many of you ungrateful little shits bitching about family. What I would give to spend another Thanksgiving with some of my family members.

We had a kid and family-free Thanksgiving with the neighbors and friends. It was awesome. Spent the evening in the pool and hot tub. My mom said “You should come up here to St. Louis for the holidays.” “Sorry mom, no thanks.”

Im a personal trainer, have been in the gym my entire life, Im very lean right now, lift heavy, eat pretty clean 90% of the time. I have battled major depression for over 11 years now. I have never ventured into hormone supplementation of any kind no matter how tempting due to the possible and probable side effects and because of the unknown of PCT and that it would probably not be very good for me given my history of depression. I have given SSRI's a very fair shot for over 2 years, have been off of them for over 1.5 years now and I now have some pretty extreme anxiety issues that I have never dealt with my entire life, specifically over the last year now. I am attributing that to the SSRI use in conjunction with the major depression that has been sustained for so long now which seems to only compound things as a double whammy of "frick you". I hike often, hunt often, ride motorcycles daily (the freedom and adrenaline helps), build things (basically seek joy constantly) smoke marijuana daily (literally the only thing that has helped and have been refraining for a week now to get back into the workforce of my previous field of the last decade as an attempt to get positive momentum going). I have never had hormone levels checked and I would assume that I have low T, almost without a doubt. The idea of test injections for the rest of my life does not sit well, but something has got to give because I feel that the level of unhappiness I have lived at for such duration now is not sustainable.

You owe it to yourself.

Get to reading the hormone replacement forums on tnation.com

The guy there Ksman is legit. They have a bunch of reading topics that can answer a ton of questions. Get the blood work.

There was no escuse for me to go from being happy and chilled to a basket case. The meds (purenithol and remicade) destroyed me. Especially the purenithol.

Took me some time to get the injections right and then get the to dose me the estrogen blocker. It's in such small amounts that I have it compounded by a pharmacy.

Your adrenals could be wiped. Thyroid. Test. Estrogen. There are a lot of possibilities. Find a good endocrinologist.

My email is tdthejudge Gmail if you have any questions

Man I've probably got one of the worst. One side of my family are pricks who tried to blame me for not groveling for an invite. This after I threw nameless shade at them on Facebook for being their atomic prickselves.

So instead we had dinner with my in-laws during halftime of the Bears game. (Great excuse to avoid everyone except for 20 minutes at the dinner table.)
