Only 12 years late.
Mayan rounding error, I guess.

There is nothing to argue with this because it has absolutely nothing at all to do with the climate.
Aside from the fact that volcanic activity is the biggest driver of climate change there is. Ask Venus.

The lack of urgency by those folks amazes me. If that would have been me I would have skedaddled out of there so fast and tried to put 1400 miles between me and Yellowstone asap.

I think the point is climate change isn't affecting the eruptions/earthquakes. The eruptions/earthquakes affecting climate change are another matter entirely.

Damn I was just there a week ago, this really could have been me!
Side note, while I was watching all those little holes belch stinky gas, I was wondering if they ever blew big. Glad I wasn’t there when it happened, that smell is still fresh in my memory.

The earth has had climate change since it's inception.
Yep.
But it's not man-made like so many want to believe. It's natural.

I can't believe the idiots that went back to get a closer look at it once it stopped erupting. Broken up boardwalk, knocked down handrails, debris all over the walkway and they are approaching it with kids in tow.
Looked like they were caught on the far side when it blew and had to cross to get back to their cars.
The ones with the kid definitely.. some are idiots spectating.

Would also kill literally everyone as far out as Denver within hours.
I gotta say being burned to death by lava is one of the least appealing ways to go out.

Should I mark myself SAFE on Facebook from this event?

No shite, I assume the steam is at or near boiling, and full of dissolved metals, and those people were like, "30 yards is far enough." F that.

Between this and the white Island eruption, visiting volcanos is off my travel list.

Was just there 3 weeks ago. Kids were talking about what would happen if one of those geothermal pools just blew up.

Oh. That’s not their fate. It’s being crushed in their homes by the weight of all the ash and pumice settling on their roof.
