You know some high schoolers are going to paint an A over the B and it’s going to cause mass controversy

I’m for it in this respect.....every criminal & thug can google BLM or MLK and know where to Go, in each city, to buy and sell their drugs and stay out of the burbs & away from my family.

Are whites allowed to live on BLM Blvd?

This whole movement still confuses me. If black is not a proper term for official documents, and African American was deemed to be "proper" terminology, why would it not be African American Lives Matter Boulevard? I am sure it is about branding, and marketability of black colored logos and shirts. Everything is about money, in some fashion.

Not sure there is anyplace to live on that stretch of 16th Street for anyone. But I can just about guarantee you that there are about to be a lot of vacant "loft" apartments and "flats" in downtown Birmingham. The renaissance of downtown is over and a lot of people will be voting with their feet. It is pretty sad really. A lot of hard work and progress was destroyed in a flash.

Every city was required to have a Martin Luther King street in a shitty part of town. Now we are all going to get a Black Lives Matter Boulevard in every downtown.

This is stupid.

This will end up being a good thing. Just like the MLK streets let the unfamiliar and crackers know you are in the hood and to be careful

I think we can go back to calling them “black”
Apparently the term “black” must not be racist anymore, that required the weird term “African American “ in the first place

Because that name change didn’t actually rid of the problems of race as so thought

Yep this dumbass mayor and council have pretty much ruined downtown in the past month. Thugs and criminals can go back to having it, it’s what they deserve

What's crazy to me is that the NAACP hasn't changed its name in tbe last 50 years.

Every time I see a MLK BLVD, I’m reminded of the Chris Rock jokes.

I don’t care where you at in America, if you on MLK, there’s some violence going on
