Yes, I am assuming. I don’t want them to get shutdown. I’d like to open my doors at 11am but I can’t. Other agencies are enforcing shutdowns such as DHH, ABC and the ATC.
Being vague and not listing the actual businesses on purpose are not synonymous.

any barbers working there losing their barber's license
If true, the fact that barbering requires state licensure to practice is why a solid 50% of all government function could cease and nobody would notice for years.

The dea you have to have a barbers license is ludicrous.

Even if he opened, I don't think he would have many customers if any

I didn't initially imply the actual business. But a "DHH shutdown the dental practice in our office complex last week for failure to comply" is a bit different than "I know some businesses are being shutdown.

You need a license to be a florist in Louisiana.

You say that, but they have sanitary requirements and can spread disease easily. And this trade doesn't attract the best labor.

Doesn’t LA have the most license requirements of any state?

I think they would have plenty of customers.

I live very close to this place, and if my NextDoor app is any indication, they'll be slammed for a few days. There is a constant stream of posts on there of people looking to get their hair cut. I don't understand the desperation since most people don't have really have anywhere to go, but I guess some people are more vain than I am.

A bar/restaurant and coincidentally, a barbershop, we’re both shutdown. One by DHH the other by ABC, twice.

Sometimes you just gotta laugh at this stuff..
Occupational licensing is pure protectionism regarding a market.

hat, and they all spent their time gossiping with each other while they cut hair.
I have moved on from two hair cut places because of this crap. One guy had three other women working with him and they either had the news or soap operas on the TVs and the old bitches sat around bitching and gossiping the whole time.

If I lived closer, which thank the lord I don’t (Birmingham), I would absolutely go get a haircut.

If Cupcake and ice cream shops are open then so should haircuts.

This isn’t the end of the world pandemic that the government made Karen’s freak out over. People need to be able to make a living for themselves and their families.

my mother was a florist. her license didn't have shite to do with "protectionism". Had everything to do with Louisiana finding another way to charge a small business for being in business.
