LOL, yeah, cause snopes is the place to go for answers, gems like this:

However, local ornithologists said that they had never heard of or seen birds dying after consuming rice thrown at weddings:

So they had never seen or heard. fricking scientific facts there. Although he admitted that they could die from ingesting it.

Black oil sunflower seeds do it for us. We get pretty much everything and it all ends up eaten. Only problem is the squirrels like it too, but they usually pick up the stuff on the ground. We have the squirrel proof bird feeders

Hemp seed is the most nutritious bird food available. It contains all the amino acids and essential fatty acids required to sustain life. Hemp seed also provides complete protein in an easily digestible form.

I appreciate everyone's input. I will do sunflower seeds next time. You've helped enrich the lives of my family with your advice. Thank you.

I feed squirrels & a number of different species of birds every morning. Sunflower seeds are eaten by all of them and the larger birds (blue Jays, woodpeckers, etc.) also prefer whole peanuts above everything. Walmart seems to have the best price on sunflower seeds which is around 10 bucks for a 20 lb. bag.

Fescue and Bermuda seed seems to do it.

Those birds ate 40% of everything I put down in my yard.

Sunflower seeds and dried mealworms. Bluebirds (and most birds) love both.

Not an easy question to answer, since even Wile E. Coyote, Genius, had a difficult time picking out a good bird seed.

Sam's members mark. Comes in 40lb bags. It's "premium" but affordable. I think it's 15 bucks. Very large variety of birds here in PA love it!

Grab cheap bird seed and throw it in your food plot. Deer eat the heck out of it.

Bought a 40# bag of black oil sunflower seed from TSC today for $17. Orange bag. Cardinals love that stuff.
