Buddy of mine is a manager for Entergy in N Louisiana, he said all their linemen make north of 135K a year.
Pretty good gig if you can get it, no education required.

The overtime they do to make it is pretty high as well, plus a lot of them will travel to other parts of the country in events like this one along with things like hurricanes or tornadoes.
It’s a tough job, they earn their 100K+

The guys that work for the electric companies do this kind of work nearly every year. They drive hundreds, and sometimes thousands of miles, when other areas have disasters.
Nurses never have had to worry about protecting themselves this much, and in some cases staying away from their families, during the pandemic.
