Passed by there today, sign up in the front yard saying “for rent” section 8 accepted. I guess the owner is doing that out of spite since the neighborhood wouldn’t give him his commercial zoning.

So now the gunshots will be coming from Big Lee's house instead of the neighbor's?

From what I saw of Big Lee’s House, Section 8 would be an upgrade

I might buy it and open up a store that specializes in water hoses.

It’s been a pretty hot topic on the neighborhood Facebook page.
A lady had purchased Big Lee’s house as well as the neighbors and wanted to get a zoning change to open a small business with some parking. Lots of people rallied against it and the parish council shot her down.

Some are saying she is trying to give a big F U to the neighbors by doing this section 8 thing.

As with all things Lee-related, it should be torn down or moved to a Landrieu-owned storage yard.

I thought that the “Section 8” on the sign referred to the section of Tiger Stadium where Big Lee used to have tickets. A “keep it in the family” kind of thing.

You would think she’d research these things before investing all that money on the two properties.

I have a cousin who has made millions off of section 8 housing, don't knock it till you try it.

I'm not sure that's the way it's suppose to work though
