The Comradvocate

quote:

East Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome said law enforcement will be on high alert this weekend for big gatherings that violate coronavirus restrictions after she chastised several businesses last weekend for flouting the rules on crowd sizes.

quote:

The venues that raised concerns included the nightclub Pure, the End-Zone Daquiri & Bar on Plank Rd. and DJ's Club Elite on Tom Dr., according to Mark Armstrong, a spokesperson for the mayor. The establishments' owners could not be reached for comment.

Separately, state fire officials temporarily closed The Palace 2300, a dance club off Scenic Highway, on Saturday after discovering more than 700 people inside the building — a number far exceeding the building’s capacity limits even without coronavirus restrictions.

quote:

"If you see something, say something," Armstrong said, urging the public to contact law enforcement or the mayor's office or post on social media if a venue appears to be violating the restrictions on crowd sizes.

Be the snitch you know you can be!

The Sadvocate is already on the story.

quote:

A night club off Scenic Hwy. was shut down for having nearly 800 people inside without a single shooting incident between the hours of 9pm and 1am, as now required by law.

"In order to keep the pace after such a violent 2020, we are now requiring at least one shooting incident per 300 people, with or without someone being hit, for any north Baton Rouge club that's open after 9pm" said a spokesperson for the EBR Mayors Office.

The mayor said she'd allow the club to reopen temporarily if the owner could provide her with proof that there were at least 10 patrons in the club that had been previously arrested for attempted murder, illegal use of a weapon or at least possession of a stolen firearm.

The owner has until noon tomorrow to supply the mayor with this proof or face a 30-day shut down and potential license revocation.

This phrase used to apply to terrorists or crazy people wielding weapons. In 2020-2021 it means people who have the "audacity" to congregate and enjoy themselves.

Maybe the apparent focus on NBR clubs will start to turn the tide where people of ALL races see this shite for what it is...complete absurdity being used as an unfettered power grab by political leaders

We are at a record pace for homicides, but we are asking folks to rat on their neighbors for congregating. Broome cleaning things up!

Kind of interesting how black BR politicians will call out blacks over Kung Flu stuff but no one in NOLA will.
