Must really suck to be one of the like 7 people stationed at Shemya, AK.
Boeing has contractors and workers stationed out there. Quite a few rotate through, evidently.

Yup, and that side of the island get 20-30ft surf pretty often in the winter months. Honolulu will be fine.

Have a buddy on the north shore of Oahu.
Brother lives in Kailua. He's parked at a hospital about 100m above sea level

I'm not trying to downplay this, but that doesn't look that bad, with the exception of Hawai’i.
For shame that you don't care about the traditional Native Alaskan communities in St George and Paul Islands. As well as Adak and tge rest of the Privilof Islands
You bigot

I don't think tsunami damage comes from the actual wave heights.

The problem is that we just aren't great at predicting tsunamis.

Reminder: the destruction of tsunamis comes not from height, but from force

Evacuating to where
They're telling people in the Honolulu evacuation zone to get in a building above the 4th floor. Really concerned about MCAS Kaneohe Bay, lots of mainland families who probably have no idea what to do.

If they're reading tigerdroppings instead of evacuating or taking shelter somewhere, they don't much care either.
