Take out the yee haw and switch drank to smoked crack or maybe weed, and you have the start of a rap or hip hop classic. Just need to add stuff about killing cops, rivals, white peoples, completely sexualize women, and a lot of bass.
Fwiw, I had a discussion the other day with my 78-year old father about “The Road Goes on forever and the party never ends” by the Highwaymen. We both love the song.
It’s essentially a rap song about a guy and a girl who, in need of money, get involved in a drug deal gone bad. A cop gets shot. Sonny gets the chair but Sherry gets away with it. Brags about drinking gin and driving around in a Mercedes.
All “tropes” of rap music for sure, just with a twang.

George Strait, Alabama, Randy Travis, Dwight Yoakam and Ricky Skaggs saved it.

Finally heard the song. I'm not a Beyonce fan and would be hard pressed to identify any of her music. Having said that, it's no worse and no less country than a lot of other stuff that gets labeled as country.

This.
Fareplay is your typical virtue signaling dude who brings nothing to the table. Not that smart. Not particularly skilled in anything. Definitely employed by local government or a government contractor. Never ever had to stand alone and take credit for anything. Became an expert at deflecting from his own below average performance.
What do you bring to the table, fareplay? Not much but bitterness abd jealousy.

Water down country music like women sports.

As country or more country than some of the Walker Hayes, Sam Hunt, Lil Nas X type bullshite that was on the radio not too far back. That wasn’t country and neither is this, but I can’t fault this being number one when it’s been diluted bad. I mean, it’s hard to listen to half the stuff on the Sirius Highway channel. At least Bey has banjo and slide guitar on these songs, there’s many on there with fake drums, guitars, synths and no steel, fiddle or anything.
I’m gonna hold my judgment til the album comes out and see if she does any actual collab with a Stapleton or a ballad with some steel guitar, etc etc.

Lil nas X makes really good music. Sad racists and bigots can’t appreciate it without their eyes turning red
What has happened to western feminized men? lol

The song is garbage. Faith lost in humanity.

Listened to it today. Terrible song. Granted new country sucks. I’m stuck in the country gold era

Lil nas x objectively does not make good music.
But seriously...racists =/= people tired of hearing about race every damn day. I honestly don't care what you are. I also don't want to hear about it.

Doesn’t count. She’s half black and half white. I don’t care what the media says.

Does she have a pick-up, a pair of boots and a condo in Nashville?
Maybe she'll bring big hair back.
