I just spoke with ME Cormier again. She said shes waiting to hear back from EBRP about whether or not those annexed into BR would see an increase in taxes for CATS and BRFD. She's also waiting to hear back on who will service these areas for fire/police. She did say that she didn't think those individuals would be taxed if they were not receiving those services. When asked why would I want to annex if I'm not getting anything from BR, she said because of the uncertainty with the new city. She actually said at least you know what you're getting with BR. I took the high road and didn't say anything on that comment.

I can tell you from the number of emergency calls I've seen data on. Even though the area will be technically in the city of BR, BRFD won't even try to respond unless SGFD calls them to.

Worth an effort. All you need is to make sure she is in the minority of any effort to exit BR / get annexed by St George.

You'd have to petition first to be de-annexed from BR. That alone would make her head explode.
