Kicking arse. Entergy is basically rebuilding some of its transmission line system (69kV - 500kV) . There were over 1400 destroyed structures and have repaired close to half.

Distribution numbers are even bigger and their progress is also very very impressive.

That's awesome ... now I guess the factories who make these supplies/equipment will be working overtime to replenish?

Edit I mean all the transformer used to repair this will need to be replaced, poles, electrical equipment .. for the next storm.

Only the ones that can use their own power. The Nelson Plant hasn’t even started work on their repairs yet. But there are other options outside of the Nelson Plant.

I’m frustrated as hell now because I’m basically last in the area to receive power in Moss Bluff. Day 25 and counting while some other areas have had power since the 9th.

Got a text yesterday saying it’ll be “restored by the 20th.” Still no power. Frustrated to say the least. I know these guys have busted arse, but don’t send me a deadline and not fulfill it and not communicate with me as to any changes. I feel thankless for complaining, but that text they sent really rubbed me the wrong way.

No i meant the plant that make the poles and the electrical parts/equipment to rebuild all of this.

Sorry for the confusion.

It’s been a hell of a logistics undertaking by Entergy to procure all of the materials needed. No utility in the world had 3,000 transformers on hand.

60 mph huh?

It'll probably fire some convection off again overnight but it's just going to pull in more dry air when it does.

WTF is going on the west coast of Florida? I know it’s been discussed but at the moment it looks better than Beta.

I appreciate the invite. May have to take you up on the bourbon and company one day when all this nonsense is done. Catch a Tiger game somewhere.

ABC 13 has a reporter in la Porte with a wind gauge picking up 11 mph winds. What a joke

Finally got power around midnight last night

Also very happy Beta is living up to its name.

Hopefully the temps can stay down until next weekend for the first LSU game. I’ll have to think of something nice to cook to celebrate!

Weather Channel in Rockport TX reporting 21 mph winds, gusts 35 mph
There is some storm surge over the road but I’m not sure how often that happens with the tide
