Best way to go about air travel with a suit.

Have to fly to a job interview later this month and I don't want my suit to get completely wrinkled en route so I look like a slob in the interview. What's the best way to keep a suit fresh during air travel?
Garment bag? What are some good ones?
Just wear it on the plane?
Other techniques?

Carry-on in a garment bag and ask the stewardess to hang it up front. If they give you any guff about that being reserved for 1st class, give em a sob story about how it's for your big interview.
If that doesn't work just lay it on top of other bags in the over-head.
If you're in a hotel the night before, you can press it there with the iron. I wouldn't take the risk of wearing it and having some snot-nose kid next to you spilling his apple sauce all over it.

Don't know yet but I will for sure have to change planes at least once

short flight: Wear the suit and pack a different shirt for the interview, have them hang up the jacket for you during flight.
long flight: Get a small hang bag and have them hang it up for you during flight.
Multiple days: pack a real garment bag and check or carry on. then have pressed when at hotel.

I found the cross country job interview the most impressive part.
Keep the suit on its hanger and fold it gently in the suitcase. Take it out when you get to the hotel and it should look fine the next morning. At least that's what I've found.

Place coat and pants separately in garment bag using those thin plastic bags like dry cleaning comes in. That will help to keep it from getting wrinkled. Take it out of the bag as soon as you get to your room.

May not be an option now, but they make "traveler suits" now, which are wool blended with synthetics that resist most wrinkling (e.g., J Crew makes some decent ones) and can be OK for an "everyday suit".

The correct answer is to either wear the suit on the plane (you can take the jacket off and put it in overhead neatly if needed, or ask stewardess to hang). Or put suit and shirt in garmet bag carried on...now is not the time to fool with checking a losing a bag.

Garmet bag and when you board the plane ask the front attendant to hang it up. They have a closet up front where they hang their stuff and purses
