Build a nice, sturdy ramp somewhere and let that thing fly like you're playing GTA

I would think trading it in would be the least headache while getting top dollar. Next time get a real car, so you don't mind keeping it on the road, baw. My DD is a 99 crown Vic.

Donating worked well for me several years back. But as another poster mentioned, make sure you meet the threshold to itemize.

Replacing a head gasket isn't very hard, if the body and interior are in good condition, you should try to do it yourself, then trade it in. Is there water in the oil? If so, you have worse problems.

That's a good one too, But I'm kind of guessing that a person who bought a Mazda 3, aint into that kind of thing.

Got the same thing we a 2009 Nissan with a blown transmission. It's still mobile, but only when using the "manual" transmission gears. Sucks because I just put $1,800 into having the A/C redone at the end of 2019. Now, I'm not even sure I could get enough out of it to cover the A/C work. Goddamn CVT transmissions out to be outlawed.

I don't know much about those particular transmissions, but you can still shift through all of the gears manually and drive it?

Sounds like some type of control problem to me. Might be a simple fix. Or even just keep it and drive it.

About 5 years ago I bought a farm truck at auction for 300$ drove it around farm for about a year. Then it died. Loaded up on trailer took to scrap yard and got around 450$ out of it. This was back when scrap prices where high.

If you can't sell to individual I'd say scrap it.

Are scrap prices still that high? I don't know if a mazda 3 has much metal weight to it.

If it has a sunroof you should fill it with soil and plant a banana tree. You'll be the talk of the neighborhood

A blown head gasket is hardly internal but can be changed, unless you ran it until it quit.

Call a junkyard and get them to tow it away and hopefully collect a few hundred bucks.

Pretty much your only option with a blown head gasket.
