damn thing doesn’t even start now may be a timing issue. AAA tow guy making me an offer of 600-700.

Why did you think it was a head gasket 1st, and now a timing issue?

I don't want to tell you not to take the money that the tow truck driver is offering but if for some reason you don't want to go that route, I'll come get it first thing tomorrow. What part of Louisiana or Mississippi are you in?

Use it in a indie film to blow up in a car chase

Donate it to the "National Kidney Foundation" or similar organization. Tax-deductible if you want it to be also.

Use it to fill a pot hole in the city and charge a $1 toll for everyone crossing over it.

Pour a can of head gasket sealer in it and sell it on Craigslist.

In some places, maybe, because it can lower the amount subject to sales tax (Texas, for example).

But if you have to have it towed to get it traded in, you may spend more than you save.

So the suggestion of donation for tax write-off may be your best bet. Just make sure you get the current blue book value and deduct accordingly for condition.

For federal, but you may still get some benefit on your state tax return

Call a junkyard and get them to tow it away and hopefully collect a few hundred bucks.
Nowadays a lot of them want it to have all fluids drained: motor oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, fuel lines. Doable, I suppose, might need a pump for the transmission. But then you'd have to haul it down there and if you don't have a trailer or two truck that could eat half the profit.

Advertise it Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist as a "beater special" for $500, less if you don't have clear title.

You're not going to be able to write off blue book value on the car you've donated.
