If you have to ask whether you can afford Jackson Hole, you probably can't. Also, most any recreation oriented town will be pretty liberal, even im a conservative state.

And Alaska is great but Anchorage is a shithole. They call it Los Anchorage for a reason.

Florida Space Coast - great weather, low cost of living, no state income tax, not sales tax on groceries/prescriptions, great seafood....as long as Matthew doesn't hit us directly....

I'd never be bored if I lived in western NC. So beautiful.

Buddy of mine is a fishing guide there and loves it. Moved there from Louisiana about 10yrs ago and has never come back even to visit.

I love northern Arizona and Boise.

Colorado is too crowded and liberal now, unless you're remote

Virginia is nice too.

Nothing beats Boulder. Eldorado Canyon and Boulder Canyon provide world class rock climbing and bouldering, road biking up Flagstaff mountain, the Valmont bike park and endless mountain bike trails within 10 miles of downtown, hundreds of hiking trails, the flatirons, and world class resort skiing an hour and a half away and world class backcountry 45 minutes away in RMNP. So many professional athletes you have never heard of live here, and many others come to train. It is the fricking mecca

Forgot about north of Sacramento. That's a very underrated part and not very liberal

The best states for outdoor recreation are the PNW states. You have the mountains and the ocean right there.

frick politics of the places. Who cares. Nobody cares about politics in the mountains or on the water.

What?

I would like to be able to shoot my shotgun, drive my truck and not be looked down upon. If that will occur, I don't want to live there
