a slim fit suit
Your first mistake.

Do you mean a purposefully douchey slim fit suit like Banana Republic or Kenneth Cole? Or a suit that fits?

The only question is which color....

This is crucial.

wingtip oxfords

Depending on how formal the occasions are where you plan to use this suit, I'd suggest a captoe or wingtip Oxford for a fit with just about anything. Don't get any square toed shoe, and I wouldn't suggest a bicycle toe. Something along these lines:

Lotta fatties in this thread

Yeah, I don't know this guy, but I'm assuming he just purchased a suit that's labeled "modern" "trim" or "slim" fit. I'm not referring to something that looks like a woman's suit sold by Express or something in the mall.
If you're buying an off the rack suit labeled "regular" or "traditional" fit, you're either a larger individual or your suit looks like you have on bootcut pants and a flare of fabric under your arms and on your sides. That's not the way to do it.

I honestly don't know a guy who wears a slim fit suit.... No help here...
Even at my lightest weight post highschool... 175 that wouldn't have happened.

since you already won't be taken seriously by anyone else, wear either some chuck's, vans, or those big square toe stacy adams joints.

Generally good advice, though if it is a serious business setting I'd go captoe or plain oxford over a wingtip. I like wingtips for most things, including relatively low-formality suit wearing, but generally they're considered less formal.

i bet there are some stupid dressing mofo's in this thread. Most "slim fit" these days fit closer to how a suit is supposed to fit. Grab a standard fit and look like a boxtard. fatties...
