Try the mouthguard options.
Did you get yours through your dentist? My dentist has one he recommends highly, but it costs $800, is not covered by insurance, and you cannot get a reimbursement if the guard doesn't work.
Having failed with a CPAP however, I'm thinking about taking a gamble on my dentist's gadget.
Sounds like you've been satisfied with yours, correct?

Me. Went in due to snoring. No sleep apnea

Didn't go the dentist route, paid about $100. Won't lie, first couple of weeks that thing was uncomfortable as hell. Got used to it and it's been fine since. I'm not overweight, never been tested for apnea. I just know my chances of being suffocated in my sleep by the wife have been greatly reduced.

Losing weight will significantly reduce snoring.

Nasal spray (yep, the addictive, rebounding Afrin) every night and a breathe rite strip has solved the issue for me. Kind of wish there were a reusable alternative to breathe rites that doesn't suck. All of the plastic nasal dilators out there that I've tried are extremely uncomfortable.

And all for just $100? What brand of guard is it? Where'd you get it?
I bet if I had a guard like the kind I wore for high school football, my snoring would be at and end--but I can't find the damn things anywhere.

Sleep study, cpap machine
don't take it lightly , see your doctor

I'm sure it's happened before somewhere in this world, but I have never personally met anyone who's had a sleep study that did not have CPAP/BiPAP recommended.

Wouldn't that be terribly uncomfortable?

I was real close to going to a sleep doctor, but then had to have a tonsillectomy for other reasons.
My snoring and sleep apnea stopped after the tonsillectomy.

Death may not concern you, but what about a massive stroke that leaves you bed ridden, requiring someone to wipe your arse and feed you?
