In the summer it's Coeur d'Alene, but it's turning into a bit too much of a billionaire, celeb, very wealthy family playground.
A place called McCall 2 hours north of Boise is also headed that way.
In the winter, parts of the Boise area is the best in the state.

I live on the island for gulf shores.
Forget that I live in AL until I have to go to foley or north, which is maybe twice per month.

Yep. I’d add Auburn to that list as well.

This is not even the best place on the coast live. And Oxford is way ahead of anything on the coast. I do like Ocean Springs...Bay St. Louis and Pass Christian have some good parts.

What a tough question. I'll be downvoted to hell but I guess in Texas it would be Horseshoe Bay vicinity or Lake Travis water lots. So many other prime towns and counties in TX but these have good driving access to a bunch of city, middle of nowhere beauty and recreation options.

Small towns in Louisiana. I was raised in Shreveport. Moved an hour south and couldn't be happier. Everyone gets along and don't hear gunshots unless it's deer season.

What’s up with that? Too crowded these days?

I liked living in Peachtree City. Golf cart trails throughout and nice lakes, restaurants

I live in Fort Collins Colorado and I swear this is the best city in Colorado. So much recreation, parks, mountain access, live music, nice downtown, more conservative

Foley, AL, just a personal preference, prefer it to the beaches so the traffic isn't terrible for 3 months.

Where do you currently live in Oregon? Lived in Ashland for six years and been in Portland the last two

I just moved to Denver after 44 years in Louisiana. Best decision I’ve made. Me and the wife (no pics) thought it would be tough leaving everyone behind; but there’s so many parks and mountain towns to visit on weekends.
