Northwest Arkansas and there's nothing remotely close for second place.

Wake Forest (or pretty much anywhere around RDU)
Brevard (or one of those small mountain towns)

I live in the Florida Panhandle. For Florida, I’d say Sarasota or the suburbs of Tampa on the water are great places to live. However, I grew up in Alabama and I would rather live in the Pensacola Beach/Perdido area.

If it was up to me, we would move to the Portland, Maine area. I go there for work and I love it. It’s too far from family for my wife, but I’d love to move there.

All great choices but I am not mad at living on the Sarasota coast myself. So many good choices here. One of my best life decisions.

I’m specifically referring to places you can actually earn a living and where there is civilization. Rural areas in BFE would be a different list
