I feel like Lafayette is undervalued. Not saying top 20, but better than they got. I completely agree with NW Arkansas being high.

Fayetteville, Arkansas?

NW Arkansas is a pretty good place.

Greenville SC likely deserves better than 31. The downtown is a model for other towns who want to revitalize their old downtown areas. It is incredible. Tons of high-end restaurants and shops, tree-lined streets, good streets with great street signs, and a 22 mile walking/biking trail along the river through downtown, complete with waterfall. Unity Park is amazing, with a ginormous area called The Commons full of shops and restaurants adjacent to the park and trail. Minor league stadium downtown is also a jewel.

Fayetteville, Arkansas? The arm pit of the U.S.?

I was just in Bentonville- Rogers a few weeks back, pretty much butt up to Fayetteville. I challenge you to find a better set of cities in the south.

This. 10-20 minutes from Fayetteville. Clean. Lots of money and jobs. Nature. Lots to enjoy.

I have 5 acres and a 2,000 sqft home outside city limits but in Boerne ISD. Currently renting it out but plan to move there in the future. Hope to build a new home on the property as well.

This is true. It is also true that its May 18th and the current temp in Green Bay is 39 degrees.

The high will be 70 today. I say that as someone who would never move back to GB and certainly partly due to the weather.

The “value” concept always makes these lists odd. There is a reason home prices are low in some places and desirability and job market are big factors.

So, yea, if you are able to carve out a good career in Green Bay, it’s a very nice place to live (assuming you are ok with winter), but looking back at my high school class, if you went to college there’s about a 90% chance you moved away.

Guy Zima gets booted off of the Green Bay city council. 5 years later Green Bay is the most desirable place to live in the country. Coincidence?

Carolina cities are properly listed for once.

Charlotte and RDU are awesome places to live. Both are severely underrated IMO.

#3 Raleigh, NC
#8 Charlotte, NC
#18 Myrtle Beach, SC
#25 Hickory, NC
#29 Asheville, NC
#31 Greenville, SC
#41 Winston-Salem, NC
#43 Spartanburg, SC
#53 Charleston, SC
#72 Greensboro, NC
#92 Columbia, SC
#135 Fayetteville, NC

For once, these lists appropriately rank Charleston. It is an overrated place to live unless you're incredibly wealthy.

The Myrtle Beach and Hickory rankings are odd, but you can find some great real estate deals in Hickory (for now).

I think I’ll pass on the 50+ inches of snow each year.

Evidently according to major MSM outlets, people are escaping "climate change" by moving to places like Green Bay and Duluth.

The Hickory rating is certainly odd. Sure, some good value real estate and you are close to the mountains, but the real estate is cheaper because there aren’t good jobs unless you want a long commute into Charlotte.

But I agree, I think the Carolinas are great states to live in.

Now, if Gastonia had made the list, then burn it. Lol
