Why don’t they make cars with those nice square fronts anymore? I hate the rounded fronts everything has now.

Fuel standards?

Most people joke, but I do like the OJ special early to mid 90's broncos.

This is a 1993... In "OJ White".

ETA: Just noticed the license plate on the bottom pic.

Heck, yeah...my dad had a green '77. I remember the day he bought it. I loved that freaking thing. My uncle worked for Ford and bought a '78. It had some serious design flaws in the steering and suspension systems.

Dad's looked a lot like these:

...but with stripes like this:

Never seen that combination, anywhere else.

I have a 92 I'm tinkering with but the correct answer is 78-79.

If y'all are talking about other makes, my old man had a few over the years.

At one time we had a Series 3 Land Rover. Identical color as this one. Got rid of it because parts were hard to get in the 80's.

And then he got a jeep scrambler. Identical color as this one.

I’d stab all of you guys for a mint condition hard top scrambler.

Non life threatening, of course.

it's hard to find any 40+ year old vehicle thats not a rust bucket.

Restored old Broncos from the 60's to '77 when they quit making the small frame Bronco are going for insane prices. We are talking anywhere from $20K to $50K depending on the level of the restoration.

77 is most rare...besides being the last year they made them, they were the only ones with the fuel door covers on for the gas tanks ('77 was the third lowest production year for the fist generation Bronco, as well). My dad's had a reserve tank...so the two gas cover doors on the driver's side were pretty awesome.

Every car show on Velocity has done a first generation Bronco in the last three or four years. I think American Pickers bought one, and they're all over the place in commercials. That power of suggestion gets people thinking, add to that the fact that they are "iconic" and interesting vehicles and there you go.

The Scout is next, there's one in the new Domino's pizza "mobile 'hot-spots' " commercial and I think one other ad campaign. People see how cool they look and they'll take off. Think I've seen a Scout II in commercials as well.

Yep, I considered becoming an early Bronco guy the last time I was getting back into jeeps, but when I saw the prices, I remembered how much I like jeeps. That said, the Jeep CJ's are getting up there in price too for a nicely restored one.

i paid $5000 back in 2012 at auction for the 74 i re-built...it needed a new transmission, transfer case, doors, all interior & dash, all rubber & trim, seats, etc

the 302 did run though, and ran well.

not gonna tell you what i sold it for

I have a '77 that is not running. It also has two fuel doors on the driver's side. Got any suggestions for a Bronco restorer? Sounds like it might be worth something.

If you want to jump in the bronco discussion, classic broncos.com has some really great info and on Facebook, National Early Broncos and locally, gulf states bronco are a couple of the bronco sites.
