He said that one often. He also lived it, frustratingly so at times. He wouldn't stress over something out of his control. He just simply wouldn't do it, particularly in his later years. I say it was frustrating because if you came to him for advice about something you were fretting over and he recognized that you could do nothing to change or remedy the situation he'd say that. It is the answer you'd get, matter-of-factly, and he'd move on to some crazy story or nonsensical ramblings that, now with more wisdom and retrospect, I understand was meant solely to take my mind off of what was bothering me.
Simply stated; simply put, and I always try to remember it.

I just wish I had learned this sooner. I try to get help in areas that I know I’m weak. I lean on others in those areas. I excel in my strengths and try to focus on tasks that I know I can complete.
The smartest and most talented aren’t always the most successful. It’s the ones that focus on their strengths and find a way to market them.
